  We used to get together with others to study the Watchtower on Friday nights in preperation for the Sunday meeting and we were told to stop.

  We had that also. I never went, but my daughter did, along with many other young ones.

  The elimination of the book study: It was the only place where those who were shy, or anxious, about commenting would comment. It was small, intimate and we had a lot of fun. Remember the "F" word? Fun?

  The elimination of congregation sponsored activities: We used to have congregation picnics, softball and volleyball games. We would all get together when someone was leaving the congregation, or make an excuse for a gathering for whatever reason. We had a blast and got closer.

  The WTS wants their members to refrain from "worldly association", but will not agree to any type of gathering other than a "book study sized" group. A "book study sized" group whose "book study" has been eliminated.

  I no longer get depressed, but that is just SAD.

  I hope you are monitoring this thread, New York.

  I know Jehovah is monitoring everything and he is holding YOU responsible for all the pain you have caused in the lives of people who simply want to live their lives worshiping Him, NOT WORSHIPPING YOU.

  Rules, rules, rules.

  You and your petty little man made rules.

  Yeah, it's not on the so called "news" channels, either local or national.

  That's why I don't watch MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX. They are all bulls**t channels.

  yes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).

  i'm sure there are lots of alternative ways for those with the information to get it to those who need it.. here are the discussions on the book:.

  I'm not blaming anyone, but this website could be gone someday due to an issue like this.

  I like it here, even though I disagree with much of what is posted here, and if it were gone today, I would get along just fine, but it wouldn't be fair to those who would have a very hard time without this site.

  When we played with the ouija, we accused each other of moving the planchette. Someone who is a skeptic could argue that either, or both, participants are moving it, and I can accept that.

  Now, as for those who offer a reward for proof, my own experience, and those of which I know, you just cannot anticipate when or where these things might happen. Mine just happened, and, in hindsight, I have an idea what the trigger was, but there was no way to know that they were going to happen, neither at what time of day or night.

  These things do not happen in a lab, they happen out in the real world where we live every day. Since they cannot be brought to the "reward" givers, and those "reward" givers won't go out to find them, such as tagging along with paranormal researchers, the "reward" givers will never have to give out the money, they can remain "skeptics", and they can continue to howl for "proof".

  I have a good friend who is an archeologist and he has never demanded that the bones be brought to him. He goes out to find the bones. Then again, he never offered a reward.

  I was wrongfully Disfellow shipped out...help

  in 04 i was brought before a comitee of 3 elders and admited to sex before marriage, given my situation at the time i fell short, i showed repentance for it and they said they were going to recomend i leave for awhile to find myself spiritually...(wow the only time they got one right) i did find myself spiritually through other means.

  now i have a question since i no longer want to be a part of this organization and i was cast out from it, shouldnt my records with my personal information be destroyed?

  if its in a file that i do not want to exist?
